To whom it may concern:

My name is Lisa. I live in Massachusetts. I have a disability called cerebral palsy. I use many types of adaptive equipment to be as independent as possible. The most important "medical equipment", aside from my power wheelchair, is my service dog, Vivian. Vivian is a petite standard poodle, who has helped me for almost 8 years. She picks up things I drop, opens and closes doors, turns lights on and off, presses elevator and automatic door buttons. She knows how to carry things, get help if I need it, and how to tug my coat in winter. She is my lifeline. She is now 10 and a half, still happy and healthy, and I want her to retire that way. Still able to play and jump and be treated like the princess poodle she is 24/7. To get another service dog, I have don't have many options. I've been on a waiting list for 2 years and could still wait 3 more. I could try to get a fully trained dog for 25k, or I could train my own dog, and that is what I've decided to go with. I need funds to travel to get a dog, find a trainer for advice, toys, food, gear, and vet visits. The most costly being the dog and traveling. Please help me raise funding so my girl can retire with grace.
