Help our mother Violeta Villarin Calpito fights pneumonia and dementia (Hospital bills Fundraiser)

We're knocking on you kind heart for our mother, Violeta Villarin Calpito, who is 81 years old. We're hoping that you will support us by helping us raise funds to pay for her oral and intravenous antibiotics plus the rising cost of her hospital bills as she is still confined in the Metro South Medical Center in Cavite for 4 weeks now.

She was initially rushed to the hospital last June 26, 2019 due to malnutrition secondary to poor oral intake caused by Alzheimer's disease.

She was CT scanned and results showed that her Alzheimer's disease had progressed. She had been fed via an NGT tube to get her nourishment back. Sadly, a few days later, she had to be transferred to an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) room due to hypoxia (lack of oxygen in the brain) caused by pneumonia. The chest x-ray showed an accumulation of phlegm in her lungs. She had been under mechanical ventilator to help her breathe.

For the next 2 weeks, she was treated with antibiotics but her phlegm keeps lingering. The doctors suggested doing a tracheostomy for my mother to help plush out her phlegm. The tracheostomy operation was successful but she had to stay in ICU for monitoring.

While in ICU, more bad news came. She acquired pseudonomas, a highly dangerous bacterial infection. She was treated with another set of antibiotics (meropenem and polymyxin b) for a week. After a week, the infection is still lingering. The doctor recommended further treatment of antibiotics for the next 2 weeks.
