Help my Mother See Again!

So as it stands, the last year has been the most controversial for my family and I am certainly sure it was the same situation for a lot of families throughout the world, due to the unforeseen circumstances. So was the case with my mother, when she was sacked from her governmental safe and secure job, due to the Covid-19 pandemic situation.

My dear and beloved mother Diana has contracted a sever form of Cataract, provoked by a virus (very unusual, since she is just 59 years of age and this is highly unlikely for her age to happen). Therefore, over the last couple of months, her eyesight capability has diminished significantly! Moreover, her diopter has steadily increased up to the point, that she cannot see neither close-range or long-range distance objects. What sincerely bothers me is her inability to focus and her constant dizziness and blackouts, which are constricting her of living her life properly! She falls, stumbles, bumps everywhere, is unable to drive and constantly is in a miserable state of mind, feeling down and cries herself to sleep.

The best ophthalmologist in town has check the condition of her eyes and conducted a thorough series of tests and the medical diagnosis was "Cataracta Nuclearis Subluxata" for bot her eyes! The right one has lost 60% of its seeing capabilities, while the left one has lost almost 70% of its capabilities! As it stands, if proper surgery is not conducted within the next two to three months she could even lose her entire eyesight! They need to operate both of her eyes, where a specially designed multi-focal lens will be implanted below her iris. After that a month and a half of recovery time is needed for one eye to heal. The same applies for the other eye as well and her recovery time would be approximately three months.

I took the initiative and tried the best to my powers to help her get back on her legs again, helping in any way imaginable with her financial situation and well-being. My financial livelihood has been exhausted, since all of the expenses and bills kept piling and I was barely pulling in enough funds to keep as afloat.

In an attempt to raise more capital I took upon another part time job as a drop-shipper in order to raise some more capital, but her being unemployed took a heavy toll on both our lives! The most drastic and radical thing I tried to raise capital was to participate in a Bulgarian Survivor-type Reality Show, called Games of Will! After two months of heavy physical and mental exhaustion, I was unfortunately eliminated from the competition! Heavily battered and bruised I was back to square one!

As it stands of today in February, I just recently lost my regular job, due to staff shortening and am on a lookout for new alternatives. However, the market has stagnated a huge deal and things in my hometown are very serious. We have applied for all available job positions in our city (even low-level ones), but we get constantly declined! Both of us have conducted a couple of interviews but we were also politely rejected! In the meanwhile, the expenses are coming in regularly and hitting us hard on a regular basis!

I have never encountered such a predicament in my entire life and this is taking its toll on me, as I am left stranded! I really feel embarrassed, that I am unable to come up with the sum for helping my mother, the way she has helped me her entire life! She is totally unaware, that I am starting this campaign for her, as she is a very proud woman and she always did everything in life by herself with her two bare hands!

Then of course, it all comes down to the cost per lens which amounts to 2000 Euros per lens! For both of her eyes this would mean a total of 4000 Euros, which is absolutely out of both our reach for the time being! We tried to raise capital via loans from different banking institutions! The banks have declined both of us loans, since we are both unemployed and there are really no other alternatives for us at this moment!

I will never put such an appeal if I was not in a dire need of public assistance, so I am at the mercy of your kind hearts and generosity! Any type of donation would be sincerely appreciated and will go directly to the urgent surgery fund that I am gathering for the restoring the eyesight of my mother!
