This is my mother, Habibah Shukor. The one and only great person I've ever known. My mother is happiest when she’s busy. It’s almost impossible to get her to slow down and rest a bit. Now she in hospital due to bleeding in her brain, and are known as haemorrhagic strokesbleeding (on the surface of the brain: called a subarachnoid haemorrhage (SAH). My mother had a stroke on the left side of her brain.
Doctor said,
"Once a stroke occurs it is essential to get immediate medical attention to reduce collateral damage, or even prevent death. It is difficult to tell immediately after the stroke occurs whether or by how much your mother will regain her movements or other functions. The aftermath of a stroke results in the brain tissue being swollen which may take days or weeks to resolve. Stroke patients are usually followed by neurologists in the hospital and typically undergo repeat CT scans to monitor the extent or areas of damage. It would be important to follow-up with a neurologist soon who can better monitor changes in your mother and predict her recovery. Emergency surgery is needed to remove blood, to relieve any pressure that has built up, to repair the blood vessels. This is usually done with a procedure called a craniotomy. This operation should be carried out by a neurosurgeon. During the operation, a small piece of skull is cut away so the surgeon can access the cause of the bleeding. They can then repair any damaged blood vessels and ensure there are no blood clots that could restrict the flow of blood in my mom brain. If a blood clot has formed, it may be removed. After the bleeding has stopped, the piece of skull can be replaced. With any type of bleed in or around the brain, the escaping blood can sometimes alter the normal flow of cerebrospinal fluid. This can result in a build-up of fluid around the brain called hydrocephalus. This can cause pressure and pain, and if left untreated, can cause damage to the brainstem (the base of the brain which controls most of the automatic functions that keep her alive, such as breathing. An operation have to do to seal it and stop it bleeding again. With good therapy and emotional support, she can make a great recovery."
I know I am not good on narrating stories, and I hoping for some of your time and help to donate us some money for her. Any amount is much appreciated. Please also pray for her full recovery for us. We love her so much and we are willing to do whatever it takes to expand her life and be healthy again. Your generous prayers and financial support will really help us save the life of my loving mother.
It was never easy seeing my mom suffer in great pain. So cherish every moment with your mom while she is still there.
If you could support my campaign by making a donation and sharing it with your network, my family and I will greatly appreciate it. I know that money could be tight, so please know that even the smallest amount would help support & means a lot to us.
Your donation will be utilised for medical, specialist consultations, travel to specialists and living expenses for her to tide over this difficult period.
