Help my mother get out of debt

First and foremost, she doesn't really need the money. She can pay off her debt in 2.5 years. If you don't have money to spare just keep it. Or if you feel like it should go to someone who needs it more, please do so.

Now, on to my story. I recently found out that my mother is in debt. For the last 2 years now almost all her salary goes to paying that debt. You see, my mother made an error while doing her job. Long story short, she has to cover the expenses of the said error.

She's 63 now, she should be retiring already, instead she's still working to pay off her debt. I know all of this will be resolved if she retires. But I think she still works because she likes it not because she has to pay off a debt. And all that hard work just goes to paying interest. I just want her to at least enjoy the fruits of her labor.

If you're wondering why her son doesn't just help her. It's because her son is a good-for-nothing college dropout who doesn't have a decent job to actually help. All he can do is beg people online for money.

Again she doesn't really need the money, but your donations will definitely make her happy.

If you literally have money to burn (and when I say literally, I meant literally not like when other people use it just to make their metaphors sound more intense; You know, like literally burning banknotes), could you just donate it to me her instead.

A $6000 debt doesn't seem much, but to a minimum-wage earner living in a 3rd world country, it is big. $10 to you might not be much but to us it's a whole day's work plus overtime. (She's not a minimum wage earner btw, I'm just saying it is hard for one)
