Recently my mom has diagnosed with glomerulonephritis, which is a rare autoimmune disease that affects the kidneys. It is the inflammation in the glomeruli, making it harder to filter the waste from the bloodstream to the urine. So, we decided to proceed with a kidney transplant fortunately, we already found a compatible donor. What’s left is the transplant itself and expenses. Of course, the aftermath would still include maintenance drugs. As you would know, transplants are far from cheap and may exhaust a considerable amount of funds.
