Help My Mom Recover From Stroke

Hi, my name is Ena and I’m based in Auckland. I'm raising money for my Mom’s medical needs. She lives in Manila together with the rest of my family.

I flew back to Manila in August 2022 when I learned that my Mom had a stroke. Doctors weren't sure if she had ischemic or hemorrhagic stroke. But one thing is certain, recovery is going to be a long process, maybe 6 months to a year. She was given a second chance after being in the hospital for almost 3 months, but it didn't come cheap. Medical bills are piling up and I’m trying to raise funds to help cover them.

Mom has undergone tracheostomy so she is relying on oxygen tanks at this stage. She consumes 1-2L per minute of oxygen so that is, approximately 1 x 50lbs oxygen per day. She also has a PEG tube so she can eat. Her medical supplies cost about NZD$3,700 (approx PHP125K) per month. This does not include doctor visits approx NZD$147 (PHP5K) per visit, lab tests and physical therapy. This is a very challenging time for our family and we just want her to recover.

My Mom has been at home for 3 weeks now and she is showing signs of progress. She is slowly getting stronger so there is hope.
