Help my mom pass peacefully

Five months ago my mom was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer that had spread to her liver, leg, and chest. The doctors advised against chemotherapy because they felt she was too old and weak to survive it, so we took her home to care for her until the end. Then a week ago her condition took a turn for the worse, she lost the ability to move her limbs, speak, and is losing her ability to swallow, so we had to take her back to the hospital.

My mom has given and endured so much for our family. I thought I had all the time in the world to pay her back, but instead I'm sitting next to her in a public hospital's ward; it's a room crammed with nine other patients and all the sounds and smells associated with it. I want to bring her back home again, to make sure she passes peacefully with family around her 24/7, but I don't have the training or the medicines at hand to address new complications. I'm terrified that by trying to give her some peace of mind, I'll be damning her to a painful death.

I want to get her into a non-profit hospice with private rooms and an extra bed for family to use while staying overnight. While the prices are relatively reasonable, it's still going to put a huge strain on our finances.

Please, help me give my mother as dignified a death as possible. I know this is a selfish and shameless request, but I'd rather be selfish and shameless than be the kind of person who lets pride get in the way of asking for help for my mom..
