Hi to all you wonderful people out there!
My name is Javier Santiago and I am from San Juan PR. Puerto Rico was devastated by two hurricanes in a matter of weeks in between. We were hit very roughly by hurricane Maria as this devastation left us with an aftermath of no electrical power, no communications, no drinking water, no food, no gasoline and no access to medical help and/ or medicines.

Recovering has been very tough, food began to scarce and the long lines forming for gasoline, ice, food and water if it could become available. Everything has skyrocketed in price and supermarkets have alot of empty shelves. Since the hit by these category 5 hurricanes, one of them hit from coast to coast, recovering is going to take very long. Getting medical attention has been very hard on us since there are few doctors attending the critical general public due to the emergency state that Puerto Rico is still in. My mother is in need of medical attention due to her illnesses. I am asking for your generosity in helping us move to the United States to a relative's home for now, in order to have my mother intervened in a medical operation of her bladder which is her primary ailment in order for her to have a better quality of life. It is the hardship we are going through that has drained me of my finances to zero. Would you please consider donating what ever you can towards this campaign?
