On March 23, 2017 my sweet 63 year old mom was babysitting my 2 year old niece and tripped over her, striking her neck on the oven handle and fracturing her c4 and c5 vertebrae. My mom was paralyzed from the neck down before she hit the ground. She then laid there for 5 hours until we got worried when we couldn't reach her. Not only did she lay there for 5 hours, my 2 year old niece laid there with her. The baby is fine, having some nightmares, but physically ok. My mom told us that she would give her whole life for us and her grandkids. We are trying to get her from St Pete, Fl to the Shepherd Center in Atlanta Georgia for rehab. I'm sure that this will cost a lot of money. My dad is not a wealthy guy and is getting up there in age. I have three younger brothers. One of us is a police officer and two of us are registered nurses, one in the emergency room and one in pediatric ICU. We all live paycheck to paycheck. Anything would help!!! We also happily and wholeheartedly welcome well wishes, prayers, positive vibes, juju, mojo, the force....ANYTHING!!! Thank you for reading!!!
