HELP MY MOM FIGHT AGAINST COVID

Hello, I hope you're doing well. My name is Ma. Isabelle G. Bulala, my whole family is appealing to your kind and generous hearts to help us in this difficult time. COVID 19 has brought us to a very burdensome financial situation. Both my diabetic father and I are currently quarantined at home infected by COVID 19. But the main reason I am requesting for financial assistance is because of my mother who is currently admitted in the intensive care unit (ICU) fighting COVID-19 with severe pneumonia, made even more complicated by her heart condition and UTI infection. She initially was admitted to a primary standard hospital last April 3 ,2021 in the province of San Ildelfonso, the only hospital with an available room during that time. Unfortunately, her condition got worse. Her oxygen saturation level dropped and she needed a mechanical ventilator to aid her breathing. There was a shortage of equipment and nursing staff in the hospital and they couldn't provide her with a mechanical ventilator. Her doctor advised her to transfer to a better-equipped level 2 or level 3 hospital. It took us days to have her transferred because most hospitals in NCR are fully occupied with long waitlists. She is still in ICU for 5 days now.

Our family desperately needs money for my mother's continued treatment. The hospital bills are increasing daily and we are required to settle part of the bill to keep her in the hospital. We are exhausting all possibilities to raise funds but we are still falling short. The pandemic has been significantly affecting the income of my parents and now because both of them are COVID-infected, neither of them can work to support the family. My youngest brother and I are still students and the sole breadwinner of the family is my eldest sister. I am doing my best to fight off my asthma and COVID infection so I can at least help my brother with the house and hospital errands/chores. Keeping up with the basic household expenses is a struggle and with the mounting hospital/medical bills, we are now relying on the generosity of family and friends.
