Help my mom fight against cancer

Madagascar is known as a distant island, home to unique ecosystems, biodiversity and 90% of endemic species found no where else in the world. What's less heard about are the beautiful people who reside on the big red island. Cruel reality is that medical assistance is hugely expensive and distant.

Meet Justine; my mother, also a courageous Malagasy woman, proud grandmother and community friend who resides in Nosy Be, Madagascar. Justine is suffering from thyroid cancer with metastais and her only option to fight it is to undergo chemotherapy.

She need help to get the treatment she needs to overcome this battle. The cost of her chemotherapy treatment is $2,000. Justine will have to travel to the capital of the country, Antananarivo, to get treatment as that is the only place on the island of Madagascar with the resources to perform the task. With weak infrastructure and poor roads, this trip will take two to three days by bus just to get to the hospital. So she need a medical evacuation by plane.

While our village, friend and family have come together to help, we still need help, too. $1 US dollar is equivalent to 3,245 Malagasy Ariary currency.
