HELP MY MOM BEAT CANCER!

Dear friend,

My name is Julia and I am trying to find funds to give my beloved mother Svetlana a chance to live. She has been diagnosed with Colon cancer 2 Stage in 2012 when she was just 45 years old. During this period cancer had to be timely removed from different parts of the abdominal area. She has undergone 12 sessions of chemotherapy and 8 operations, with the last one occurring just a year ago when she had her large intestine completely removed. It was the time when we were so hopeful to get over it as doctors managed to get rid of the colostomy bag which she had to carry for a year and replace it at the expense of the small intestine. But sadly this year in 2020 cancer has returned again on stage 3 creating a metastasis on the abdominal aorta which progressed by 6% within November as the last 3 chemotherapy sessions didn't work so we have nothing left but to resort to your kind help.

So, the only medical solution by now is Immunotherapy which is new and is supported just by a few hospitals in Ukraine. The doctors advised us to undertake 10 sessions of it with the minimum price for one session starting from 6K USD. Therefore, the total price of 10 sessions is 60k USD with the additional money needed for supportive medication, observation, and scanning. The cost of lifesaving treatment for my mother is 70000 USD.

There is a saying when it rains it pours. And there is more sorrow that happened to my family. In 2014 we had to abandon our home with all our belongings in the town of Kharcysk, Doneck region, and start our lives from a scratch due to the war and bombing in Donbas, East Ukraine. This tragedy left us completely devastated as my father Oleg and my mother (who was still following her vocation as a piano teacher in a music school) had to abandon their jobs and move to another town (Pivdenne/Kharkiv region) untouched by the conflict and learn how to keep on living with my mother fighting with cancer at the same time.

The medical system in Ukraine, unfortunately, works this way that you need to compensate for the price of the equipment and medication used for the surgery. So since my mom started fighting cancer, we had to spend all our money on operations and medical support given. And now we are left with nothing but the hope that You, our hero, can help to save my mom.

There is no words to describe how much misery my mother passed through in her life, but she still remains a positive and kind-hearted person. Each weekend she sings in the church choir and works on her own choir harmony compositions.

I can't imagine my life without my mother... so you are our last hope to fight for life and win over her cancer.
