Hello my name is Mishtalia (not my real name). I live in the country called Philippines, the place with only two seasons: summer and rainy season. I never finished college which it's something I am not proud of. I used to have full time jobs such as Customer Service but my health couldn't handle it anymore, so that's why I work as a freelancer and doing a part time job. I do apologize if my English grammar ain't that good.
So the two beautiful and wonderful ladies in the picture you're seeing is my Mom Delia (left) and my younger sister who has autism (right). My Mom is the most important person in the world for me despite we always had disagreements and always fighting, but still I'm always and forever grateful for taking care of me since birth and till now.
Things you want to know about my Mom? Let's see, well, she's a Virgo not sure if that's important. She's the second eldest of the 7 siblings. She likes to watch American movies and TV series, that's why my big brother gave her Netflix account. She likes to try out new foods that she haven't tasted before, so during payday I buy it for her. I love her to the bottom of my heart and it pains for me to see her like this.
How this all started? It's all started back on March 1st, 2019 when my Mom is complaining the red patches on her skin and how itchy it is. Usually I just to told her to ignore it and continue applying skin ointment because it might be rashes due to hot weather. Oh boy, I was dead wrong...
Weeks have passed by, the red patches in her skin have gone worse and it's more painful when she touches it. My cousin volunteered to take my Mom to the hospital to see what's wrong with her. My sister and I have to stay behind at home, because my younger sister doesn't like sitting in one place at the hospital. Not to mention, we almost got kicked out of the hospital 5 years due to "noise complaint".
March 9, 10:30 pm
I didn't receive any calls or text from my mom so I called my cousin instead. She told me that my mom has gall bladder stones and she needs to be operated. If we left it untreated, it will get worse and might cause her death according to the doctor.
I tried not to cry as I heard the news. It hurts me so much that I've become a bad daughter to her. My mom and I don't get along with a lot of things but, I don't hate her and she doesn't deserve any of this.
If you are wondering why I don't get a better job, it's because i'm not healthy and I get sick a lot. I used to work as a customer service agent but it took huge toll to my health. I still remember the last words from my boss before I decide to quit: "It's normal to have high blood pressure."
I want to help my Mom to remove stones in her Gall Bladder, because I don't want to see and hear her crying in pain every single day anymore. My savings is not enough to pay the surgery and hospital bills. I tried asking help from my relatives but they won't even let me loan a money not even a single cent. I tried to loan money from the bank but they won't let me since I am only just a part timer and doesn't have a full time job.
The amount I needed is 60,000 php so my Mom can start her surgery and 70,000 php is for her hospital bills & medicines that she needed, so a total of 130,000 php. It can be changed if I find a hospital that will do cheaper surgery and such.
I'm sorry if the country I live in doesn't have the best health care. I'm also sorry if her surgery and hospital bills are too expensive. I really don't have much a choice and I have nowhere to run to. But I ain't doing this for my personal gain or luxury. I am doing this to help the person I've known in my entire life. Please any amount will do and it would be a great help for her. If you can't donate that's fine, a prayer for my Mom's recovery is already enough.
Thank you very much.
