HELP US WIN THE BATTLE AGAINST CANCER

It was in February 2016 when my mother, TRINIDAD GALVEZ ALINSUB, noticed a lump on her left breast. We had her checked up by a doctor and suggested her to undergo biopsy. Thankfully, the result was benign.

From that day, my mother chose to live a healthier lifestyle. She started taking herbal supplements to make her feel better and stronger. And with God’s grace, she did. Then we went on with our lives leaving the scare behind us.

Until last May 2018, my mother started to feel a lump on her left breast again.

But it was worse this time. Her arms and left breast grew bigger everyday.

And after 6 months of laboratory tests, my mother was diagnosed with STAGE 4 BREAST CANCER last November 7, 2018.

Our world stopped turning upon hearing the news. We were all in shock. We were all in pain. We were all scared. Negative thoughts ran through our minds.

I cry everyday. Scared that I might lose the one person who always encourages me to be strong and be faithful to God. But my mother is a fighter. So I also have to. We also have to.

The doctor advised my mother to undergo Chemotherapy at the soonest possible time. But it will need huge amount of money to sustain the treatment and medication.

I had to stop my studies to take care of my mother. My father’s salary as an ordinary worker is just enough to lay food on the table and sustain our daily needs.
