Help my Mama fight her Brain Tumor.

Hi Everyone, Good day.

This gogetfunding fundraising is all about my Mama, her name is Connie Bacalso. She is 66 years old and has been recently diagnosed with a brain tumor. We thought it was dementia, she was manifesting some symptoms of the disease such as memory loss and severe cogntive impairment but a few days before the ECQ, her MRI confirmed that it is a 2-inch brain tumor that affects her mobility, mood, and memory.

My Mom brought my sister and I up after our Papa died 18 years ago, and is the strongest woman I know. She's been through a lot in this life so we need her to get better, she deserves it. We want her to enjoy her new grandson who was born in the middle of the ECQ, and whom she's been longing to see and hold.

Mama is now on steroids to lessen the swelling in her brain. We are waiting for the ECQ to be lifted so we can take her back to her doctor and actively seek charities and funding but the symptoms of intracranial pressure has returned. Last May 9, she suffered from intense headache and could barely stand. She got more confused of her surroundings and we are afraid that she can't wait any longer.

Her neurologist suggested two operations, one is called VP shunting and the other is the brain tumor operation itself. The first one would lessen the pressure in her brain until the brain tumor operation, the second one is the main operation she would eventually need to undergo. According to her doctor, each operation would cost approximately 400,000 or more, and we have no money to fund it.

I get my earnings from teaching, my sister is a stay-at-home mom. We can't afford to get Mama her operation that is why we have decided to ask for your help. We don't know what to do anymore.

We understand that we are in the middle of the pandemic, but we would be extremely grateful for any amount you could spare for our Mama. Please help us get Mama the operation she needs.
