I am writing to you today with a heartfelt request for assistance. ⁰My parents, who are my grandparents but i call them mom and dad who have dedicated their lives to raising our family, have unfortunately found themselves in a challenging situation. They are both currently in dire need of specialized memory care, and physical therapy where they can receive the support and attention they deserve. They served in the military in the reserves, but because they were in the reserves and not active during war they didnt qualify for veterans benefits. They do have medicare but medicare doesn't cover much of anything unlike medicaid. They do not qualify for long term care medicaid due to the income limit required to be elgible. My dad has been in the hospital three times this year. I pray that he can get the assistance he needs. And my mom also.

To provide some context, their financial situation took an unexpected turn when the entirety of their savings had to be utilized for the previous funeral arrangements for when they pass away. My dad had a stroke two years ago that left him bed bound. He's not able to do much without help and assistance, My mom is in the mid stages of alzheimers. She also requires care and assistance, it breaks my dad's heart to see my mom's confusion on a daily basis.

They have been marred 45+ years. My aunt and I have taken it upon ourselves to become their primary caregivers for the past two years. We have selflessly devoted our time, energy, and love to ensure their well-being. We don't get paid to take care of them we do it out of love. We are all going to get old someday, we wouldn't even be here without our elders. They deserve to be happy for the remainder of their time with us.

The toll of this responsibility has become increasingly difficult for both my aunt and me. My father, bound to his bed due to a stroke, also struggles with type two diabetes, which necessitates constant monitoring. Meanwhile, my mother finds herself in the middle stages of Alzheimer's disease, a condition that leaves us constantly worrying for her safety and wellbeing. We have taken up this role not for financial gain, but purely out of love for our parents.

Despite our efforts, we have sadly not been successful in obtaining long-term care Medicaid for them. As a result, the financial burden of securing the specialized care they require falls solely on our shoulders. Taking care of their needs has consumed the majority of our time, leaving little room for personal growth and development. Furthermore, the financial strain has severely impacted my own progress in life, hindering my ability to pursue my own dreams and aspirations.

We genuinely believe that our parents, who are both disabled and retired, deserve all the help they can get. They sacrificed so much for our family, and it is now our turn to provide them with the care and support they need during this difficult time. We want nothing more than to ensure they are placed in a memory care facility where they can be together, receiving the professional assistance required to manage their conditions effectively.

As their journey through these challenging health issues continues, we request your kind consideration and support in our fundraising efforts. Every contribution, no matter how small, will directly impact my parents' lives, allowing them to receive the specialized care they require while alleviating the emotional and financial strain on my aunt and myself. Your generosity would bring us immense relief and enable us to focus on being the loving children our parents deserve, rather than constantly worrying about their uncertain future.

Please join us in raising the necessary funds to ensure our parents' well-being, and to provide them with the quality care that they deserve. Any assistance, whether through financial contributions or spreading the word about our cause, is greatly appreciated.

Thank you for taking the time to read this heartfelt appeal, and for considering our request with empathy and understanding. Together, we can truly make a profound difference in the lives of my parents, and offer them the comfort they truly deserve.

With heartfelt gratitude,

Jerrel & Toya
