Help my ill foster kid

Hello, I'm Juan and I'm a foster parent and a future adoptive parent from a 8 year old Russian kid named Vladimir.

We have been fostering him during summer holidays for two years now, and in the process of adopting him. (The adoption process of a foster kid is even longer). He has really bonded to us and even learnt basics of Spanish very quickly. He's truly an intelligent kid.

Since COVID started we have not been able to bring him here (Russian laws are pretty strict, but with sadness we understand it). We thought we could make Vlad come to Spain again for summer 2021, and we were really happy to try our bests to make that possible; he brings us joy each time he's with us.

If this wasn't already difficult enough, an unexpected message arrived to us: Vladimir is ill. The orphanage comunicated with us telling he wouldn't be able to travel anytime soon, because he had caught a fieber. We thought he would get well soon, and that it won't be a problem, because it was just a fieber (we prayed it wasn't covid).

We're sad to say we were wrong and he's been ill for 2 months now. He's been fragile, sleepy and loosing up to 10 kg. He hasn't got a real medical check as the orphanage recieves little to nothing of help; it deppends on the government small help and volunteers donations. We wanted to help him by bringing him to Spain, however, since the pandemy started, me and my wife lost our jobs and work part time due to pandemy circumstances (called "ERTO" here in Spain)., so the incomes come very slowly. So, all the donations will go to fundraising Vlad's medical checks in Russia (private hospital), since he's very fragile to travel now.

We couldn't imagine we would be at this situation one year ago, and we feel this is our last chance to help Vlad. Any parent would try their best to help his kid, we all want the best for them; imagine your kid is 6000km away from you.

We will kindly appreciate any help, even the smallest amount. I really believe we will get through this.
