Help My Husband With Spinal Cord Injury And Paraplegia

Hi My name is Sri and I am raising funds for My Husband, Vinay Kumar. He is not currently employed due to his condition which has made it difficult for him to arrange the funds for his treatment. He has a wife, a father, a mother, one child, He has been fighting injuries caused by an accident. The fatal accident occurred on Mar 5th 2016.

My husband met with a car accident while he was driving back home after dropping his parents at a relatives place. Although there was no blood loss he had a spinal injury with paraplegia; he lost his motor and sensory function from stomach till foot. Can say semi-paralyzed(Paraplegic). The doctor who performed the surgery said that physiotherapy treatment is enough for a year and he will be ok but we later realized that its not true. He has undergone physiotherapy treatment for nearly 1.5 yrs but there was no change. My kid was very young when the accident occurred and I am financially very weak. My in-laws were taking care of my husband and I had to take care of my kid alone. I had to be emotionally, physically and mentally strong to handle this situation.

My kid has lost many sweet memories with father already because he has been bedridden since 3 yrs. Although I am a working woman my salary is only 62 k and already spent lots for my husband's treatment. Luckily we got to know about this new treatment - "Epidural Stimulation" which can cure 90% of my husband's condition and which can help my husband to stand up using some support(walker/crutches). Our kid still wants to play with him and asks him to take around as my kid doesn't know he cannot stand and walk. I am hoping after this treatment he can at least hold our kid in his hands; walk with; play with and fulfill his fatherhood. The total cost is around 23 lacs for this treatment. I don't have any more financial support for this surgery and so I am looking for little help from other friends.

He has been suffering for more than 3 years and it has been a tough time for me and my family as I'm the only earning woman, my earnings are not even enough for our living and his medical bills. Surgery is his only hope at getting better and living a normal life. He needs a Spinal Cord surgery - Epidural Stimulation treatment urgently. His treatment will cost approximately Rs. 23 lacs.

We are unable to pay for the treatment due to no financial support and we have already spent a lot of money on different treatments which did not help us in any way. Now I don't have any more funds for this surgery which is the last hope I have got to cure my husband.

The funds raised will be used towards his:

• Hospital Bills
• Post-operative care
• Surgery

All of us are eagerly awaiting his recovery. Once he gets better, I'm sure he would love to play with our kid who has already lost many sweet memories during childhood.
