Help My Grandma

Last night, my grandmother passed away due to malnourishment. She had been very sick for the passed few months and has been going to various hospitals and nursing home facilities. Aurea, taking on the responsibility of raising three of her grandchildren struggled every single day to make enough money to support herself, let alone three other children. Although she faced many barriers, there was never a day where she couldn’t provide for her family the necessities of life. She was loved by everyone around her, known for her passion to help others in need. She was a mother, father, and everything in between to me. She taught me everything from reading to sewing to being myself. She encouraged me to come to New York and fulfill my dreams. She was my biggest supporter. She was a special light in my life, and everyone else’s.

She was not able to afford the cost of life insurance, leaving me with the bill of her cremation. At this time, I am asking for a helping hand from everyone around me to cover the cost of her cremation. The cost of a cremation at McCafferty Sweeney Funeral Home in New Orleans is almost $50000.
