Campaign Story
Lovely people of the world. I strongly believe nothing is impossible when we as people step together, thats why I’m turning to you to help me out.
I don’t even know how to start describing this very complicated situation…
This is a story of 2 of my friends, 25 and 27 years old brothers, from Syria that had to flee their home country years ago, for an obvious reason…
They successfully relocated to Beirut, Lebanon in hopes to start a better life there. But unfortunately the situation over there is not really very bright as you probably know and its only getting worse and worse. They both have jobs but earn barely enough to cover for their basic necessities. One of them works as a taxi driver and is about to lose his job due to the gas shortage currently happening in Lebanon. Their mom is still in Syria and has no income, so a part of their salaries also goes to her so she is able to survive. The area she lives in is considered relatively save, but lately there has been a lot of robberies and shootings and since she lives alone we are all very worried for her safety. One of the brothers would like to return to her to Syria, at least for a while until situation hopefully calms down, but to be able to do that he has to pay 8000 US dollars to get exempted from 2 year mandatory military service. The idea for the other brother is to relocate from Lebanon to Erbil, the capital of Iraqi Kurdistan where he has some family and therefore better possibilities to re-build his life.
The goal of this fundraiser is set to 10.000€ but really anything we could collect would help A LOT and give us all some very much needed hope.
I am very well aware there is millions of people in the Middle East in similar or even way worse situation than my friends and I know their story is just one story in the ocean of sad, heartbreaking stories.
I also know we all live in financially hard times, so I really hope this fundraiser can reach as many people as possible, because if we all donate even the smallest amount, such as couple of euros/dollars, it could really make a difference in this case and literally save lives.
Please consider donating if you can and please, please SHARE!
At this point literally anything helps ❤️
If there is any more questions regarding the story you can always contact me and i will be glad to answer them all.
Any useful tips that might help us in anyway are also very much appreciated.
Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart! ❤️
