Today, March 24th, is my father's birthday. He would have been 66 years old. I chose this day on purpose as the final day of the crowdfunding.
All I have to say is: THANK YOU!!!!

Thanks to everyone who collaborated with this crowdfunding. To every single one of you, through the website and other modalities as well. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.
(Also, special thanks to the friend who stayed with me until 4 am, just hours after finding out my father had passed out, who helped me to create this crowdfunding, because I had literally no idea where to start. תודה רבה לך!!!).
Despite the fact we couldn't reach the final amount (and that goes without mentioning the high fees...), we managed to reach a reasonable amount, to cover a big part of the expenses (burial, cemetery, and other funerary related payments). Those have been days of hard work, checking with the GoGetFunding customer service to fix some irregularities, trying to find out the best ways to send money to the other side of the ocean, coordinating with my sister and keeping track of the payments that were already sent. It was not an easy task, but I'm doing all of this due to the love I have for my father, because I know his main concern was always to take care of his family, and now that he's not here, it's the least I can do in this difficult and sensitive situation.
For people who asked me about my mother's current health situation:
My mother at the moment is dealing with maybe the heaviest part of it, losing her companion of 40 years, and staying at home (which has been recommended by the doctor, to rest at home and drink lots of water, that is, to diminish the secondary effects that Covid left her, because she was also sick with it at the same time than my father). But while staying at home, she has to deal with all the memories and every corner of the house, every little thing reminds her of him. It's known how mental health can affect physical health in many different ways, so I'm really hoping that my mother can get through it.
Again, thank you very much. Muchas gracias. תודה רבה. Without your support, this couldn't have been possible.
