Help my family travel, get reliable transportation and have some security

My family and I have had some of the worst luck.

My husband and I both have degrees in the human services field. People join this field to help others, not for the paycheck. The problem is we do not make a live able wage. We struggle daily and sometimes wonder where our next meal will come from. We worry that our lights will get shut off. We dread getting invited to events because that’s gas we don’t have and you have to bring something to the party. We have 3 girls and I feel bad that we have not had the funds to throw them birthday parties. We celebrated our youngest first birthday in a motel because we were homeless due to a fire we had on October 1st 2018. In the last 4 years we have lost 3 vehicles due to road conditions. We’ve never had a vehicle that was good in the snow. We lost almost all of our belongings in our house fire. We stay home and make fun but that gets old. We rarely get to get out. We can’t buy new shoes or clothes for the kids. Any extra money we have goes to their community involvement. They do hockey, figure skating, Girl Scouts, band, chorus, soccer, softball and swimming. They were enrolled in other programs but could not participate because of transportation. We currently have one vehicle that needs a lot of work and is becoming unsafe. I am about to tell the girls I can no longer afford to put them in their sports. This is what they have because we are so poor. We work hard and can never seem to get ahead. My oldest is almost 13 and I feel like I failed. She has not traveled, I feel like I can never give her the travel experience she wants. Poor people are never well traveled. I believe we are doing the parenting right but feel they will miss out on opportunity because we are poor. We have worked hard to not be but that’s not reality. When your born poor you have to work 10 times as hard. We can’t even save $10 a paycheck because of this. If you can’t save you’ll never get ahead. I really hate to ask for help, but I will suck up my pride and ask for help. Please help us financially so we can continue to help our family and continue to help others through work! Feel free to vet me if you believe I am trying to scam money. I would never feel comfortable. If I was in a position to financially better a family or 10 I would.
