Help my family rebuild our destroyed home

My Family's Story: A Plea from Stricken Gaza

• My name is Amin AlMashharawi, I am 29 years old and from Gaza. I'm urgently reaching out to you, seeking your generous assistance in rebuilding my home which was tragically reduced to rubble in a bombing last December.
• We are a large family of fifty, living in the Al-Remal neighborhood of Gaza. Our dream was simple, like any other family: a decent life and a safe home. But the harshness of reality turned our dream into a terrifying nightmare. With each devastating bombardment, my family was forced to leave their home and seek refuge in schools in search of safety.

• In 2008, during the war that Gaza witnessed, our area was subjected to heavy shelling. Despite the destruction that befell neighboring buildings, our house miraculously survived. We endured those moments with patience and faith, and we managed to repair the house and continue our lives.

• However, the calamity did not end there. In late 2021, during another period of war and continuous shelling, the building next to us was subjected to horrific shelling, which caused extensive damage to our home. We managed to repair the house and continue our lives.

• On December 21, 2023, Gaza was shaken by heavy shelling that hit a residential building housing my entire family, leaving them homeless, without possessions, without even a reminder of a previous life.

• A week before our house was bombed, the army used the house as military property. Behind the soldier you can see a metal bar, on which I used to work out and practice my favourite sport.

• My family lost everything, leaving them amidst the destruction and devastation, searching for the remnants of a dream lost among the rubble of houses.

• My family's tragedy was not limited to losing their home. The suffering of my brother with special needs who needs special care and the martyrdom of my sister's husband which was on his way to feed his children added to the burden of grief and pain.

• Today, my family is forced to live a difficult life in schools and tents, homeless, without livelihoods, without hope on the horizon.

• An appeal from stricken Gaza, a cry from a family that appeals to living consciences, appeals to every human to share our difficult journey, to lend us a helping hand to rebuild our lives.

Every donation, no matter how small, will have a big impact on my family's life, it will bring back hope to hearts filled with sadness and pain. We appeal to you to participate in this campaign, to provide support and assistance to my family in these difficult times.

Together, we can rebuild a life that has been destroyed, and we can restore hope to hearts that have lost security.
