I have seen my daughter turn her lifestyle completely around.  From an unproductive member of society, to now she never misses a day of work. I use to think she might never emerge from the downward sprial she was in, a vicious cycle.  If you can relate, or you know someone who made poor decisions, but now refuses to even think of returning to immensely self destructive behaviors, would you help to fix her teeth? It pains me to see her hide her smile because she needs dental care that has been lingering, but it seems possbile if a few people can make a contribution to help her get to a dentist.  I want to help fix the vicious reminder that attacks her insecurities and get her to any affordable dentist possible.

What I am seeking is donations that reach atleast $850 so my daughter, Elizabeth, can make an appointment immediately and receive initial consultation and future arrangements for this badly needed care.  I am estimating that even a few visits can help with an impaction and swelling.  She works at mcdonalds, trying to turn her life around, but there is no available access to healthcare, especially for a dentist who can help. Even a few dollars can add up so thank you for anything you would contribute to this cause.

My daughter is going to be thirty this August. I cannot believe my baby is thirty.

She had her second child almost 6 years ago. I knew there had been a problem in her ability to cope at times and that she would "self medicate" on occasion. I, however being niave thought things had righted themsleves. The truth is I did not want to see what was happening. My daughter was becomming an addict.

It started with lortabs, but quickley escalated to crystal meth. she unforutantly thought she was on top of things and hanldling things. I, again being the enabler, choose to believe her. Long story short, she advanced to IV drug abuse and her husband and children moved away.

She always stayed in contact with her children, but had enough sense and love for them to not expose them to her addict lifestyle. I would bring them to my house on weekends and she would "clean up" for their visit.

She did have several outstanding traffic tickets and was picked up September 7, 2013 due to failure to appear. She called me. I refused to bond her out until she regained clarity and relized her lifestyle would be to her demise. She spent a month incarcarated and began to think about her life and her children. She ask me to place her in a rehab in a town near her children, so I did. She completed her rehab and now works full time.

Now backed to the destroyed teeth and oral hygeine. One of the things cyrstal meth does is destroy your teeth. My daughter has four teeth on her top row. The four that are remaining are very sad .She has been clean now for 9 months. Her strongest deisre is to have her teeth fixed. We have found a denist in Midland City, Alabama. It will cost $850 for the initial dental repair. My project is to try and get this done for her so she can have a return to normalicy.

My daughter is a determined woman. I am very proud of her and how she saw the need to change and actually did. I love her and her name is Elizabeth Merritt. Please and thank you for your generous donations in helping Merritt smile again.
