Help my dad to fight Covid-19 virus.

Hi everyone, we're raising funds to pay for our dad, Tee Beng Son's extensive medical costs for his Covid-19 medications and treatments. The Covid-19 has also led to several complications like diabetes, high blood, irregular heartbeat due to bacterial infection and blood clog in his lungs.

My dad had always been devoted to his work. At his age of 69, he is still working on small projects like renovations and sub-con jobs.

We know he does all this for our sake and we know it is not an easy role. He worked so hard to support the family and he is our main pillar to the family. Unfortunately, he was infected with Covid-19 virus early Aug 2021. Not a single night we would not worry about his health condition. We kept praying to god for his speedy recovery to fight this Covid-19.

It was on 2 August 2021, my family members were tested Covid-19 positive including my kids who are 5 years old and 9 months old. On 9 August 2021, we noticed that my daddy oxygen level has dropped from 94 to 83 and we quickly admitted him to hospital. The next day, doctor informed us that my dad has to be admitted to ICU due to several health conditions and the Covid-19 virus has spread to all over his lungs. After a few days doctor updated his conditions again where they discovered bacterial infection on his blood and he is required to be on high dosage of antibiotics, he needs to rely on the ventilator support device to provide him sufficient oxygen to fight this Covid-19.

On September 3, 2021, doctor advised that my dad has been on the ventilator support device and tubes through his mouth for almost 3weeks. There is no sign of improvement even after high dosage of antibiotics to treat his bacteria infection on his blood. The high dosage of antibiotics will eventually lead to kidney damaged/failure. Doctor informed that they also found blood clog on his lungs, low hemoglobin and required blood transfusion.

Doctor suggested to perform a tracheostomy procedure for my dad to help to reduce any further bacteria infections that possibly attack him. No one could ever imagined how stressed and distraught we have been through. The hospital do not allowed us to visit our dad.

Seeing our dad's conditions with bacterial infection in his blood, blood clog in his lungs and at times he is not accepting the feeding through tubes. It has been extremely painful and disheartening for us especially my mother, my grandma (86 years old) uncles and aunties... My kids has been missing their grandpa and hoping him to recover fast and come back soon.

We really hope he can recover soon to witness and celebrate his 2nd granddaughter birthday on September 19, 2021.

Our dad has sacrificed so much to give us the best and all we wish for now is to let him have the best care, rest and comfort that he needs and deserves.

The hospital estimates that his Covid-19 medications and treatment for his life-threatening health complications will cost us around RM150,000.00 on-going.
