Fundraiser for our Dad, Louie

Dear Family and Friends,

We hope you and the rest of your family are doing well! On behalf of our parents, Louie and Grace, we are reaching out for your support and financial assistance.

Our Dad, also known as Louie, “King Louie”, Wowo, Lolo Louie and Lolo Pops has been a dialyzing patient since May 2017. In the Summer of 2020, he had an operation to insert a stent in his heart, caused by a heart attack. After this, he tested positive for the Omicron variant in December 2021 which possibly led to the compromise of his immune system further.

He was hospitalized in January 2022 due to internal bleeding and the doctors could not determine the cause. After this, he started to develop a blister on the second toe of his left foot. Despite proper medication, this wound got infected. This second toe started to turn black and his whole foot started to swell and turn dark as well. His doctors determined that blockages on his arteries caused the discoloration of his foot, and they addressed this by conducting an angiogram and femoral angioplasty to increase blood flow to his foot. Although this procedure was successful, it did not address the infection on his second big toe. Soon after, his two other smaller toes got infected as well. To prevent the infection from spreading, the doctors need to amputate all five toes of his left foot.

He was scheduled to have the amputation on March 14th. However, this procedure had to be postponed because he started to have internal bleeding again. He needs to undergo further tests to determine the cause of the bleeding before they can proceed with the amputation. After the amputation, he has to go through hyperbaric oxygen treatment for more than a month for the healing of his wounds from the amputation.

All these procedures and medical treatments have definitely caused and will continue to cause a major dent in our finances. We hope that by the grace of God we will be blessed with any financial aid from you. We are thanking you in advance for the much-needed help.
