Help my Brother Fight for Encephalitis

Hello everyone!

My brother John Lawrence was diagnosed with Encephalitis last June 28, 2019.

WHO IS JOHN LAWRENCE?

John Lawrence also known as Jon-Jon, is a 12 years old, who is currently active at sports like baseball and basketball. He is a Grade 7 student at Kapayapaan Integrated School here in Calamba Laguna, He is a jolly person, a very loving brother and a good Tito for his nephews. A boy that can be trusted at a young age.

WHAT IS ENCEPHALITIS? (Let's make it a simple version)

Encephalitis is a kind of viral infection that affects the brain (inflammation of the brain).

WHAT ARE THE SYMPTOMS?

Based on what we observed in him are the following:

-on and off fever

-lost of appetite

-memory lapses

-insomnia

-vomiting

-severe headache

-nausea

STATUS:

-he is in ICU since June 28, 2019 (Friday Night).

-some tests are done in Asian Hospital, RITM, and Blood works (Still waiting for the results)

IS THERE ANY CURE OR TREATMENT?

Yes, there is a treatment for Encephalitis, antibiotics can help ease the inflammation of the brain, and hopefully can cure him.

HOW MUCH DO THE MEDICINES COST?

-For now, he is taking Acyclovir (vial) that cost P1,700.00/vial, he needs to take 3 vials for every 8 hours. and Solu-medrol (vial) that cost P8,000+/vial, he needs to take 1 vial for every 8 hours. This prices vary on the hospital pharmacy.

-usually for this kind of sickness this will only be treated inside ICU.
