My brother has always been healthy. He would eat healthy food and tried his best to exercise and stay active whenever possible. In fact, I couldn't remember the last time he got sick. And I'm already 25 years old. Yes, he did have a fever, little cough and colds here and there but that's it. So I would've never imagine him being rushed in the emergency room (ER). And that's when it all started. He was rushed to the hospital late March because he had a difficulty breathing. He then had to be admitted. During his first few days at the hospital, we were told he had so much water in his lungs that's why he couldn't breath well. They drained some of the fluid which made him breathe a little better. He underwent series of tests/procedures to rule out what's causing it. One of which is a major surgery called VATS to seal his lungs and keep the fluid from recurring. Thank God, the surgery went well. But it didn't stop the water, it only lessened it. They did some additional tests and mid April, that's when the final diagnosis came out. He has a LUNG CANCER. And just as we thought we heard the worst news, we were wrong. Doctor said it was STAGE 4. Fast forward to now, he got out of the hospital. We thank God for blessing us with friends and families who helped. Not only for praying for him but also for helping us financially. We wouldn't have been able to bring my brother home if it weren't for them. But they can only help so much. We didn't have a lot. And whatever savings we had, had been swept off. Now his real battle is just starting. He needs to drink medicine for his oral chemotherapy which is twice a day. Each capsule (CRIZOTINIB) costs 5400 pesos and we do not know where to get funds to buy his medication. And so here we are, asking for your help. He's young, only 38 years old. He's got 2 kids (a 6-year old girl and a 10-month old baby boy) I only want to see him play with his children again. Laugh with them and see them grow. So please, help my brother with this battle. Help my brother beat CANCER.
