Campaign Story
Earlier this year my beloved Boy Sabu took a turn for the worst. We rushed him into the vets where we were told the devastating news that he has Renal Failure and they weren't sure on how much longer he would be with us.
He prolonged 5 lonesome days in the veterinary hospital on a drip to try and flush out some toxins and endured test after test to see if the toxins levels were reducing. After this initial 5 day stay, his levels hadn't significantly reduced, meaning this therapy hadn't worked for him and we now faced the daily battle of administering medication and providing him with a special renal diet.
The news was enough for us to be scared, anxious, upset, heartbroken.
Our baby (3 year old) boy was on a time limit in our family and it was up to us to ensure he maintained an amazing standard of life whilst he is with us. The cost of keeping a cat with renal failure is eating away at all the money we have, the medication, vets visits and special food are beginning to add up on top of the initial vets bill from diagnosis.
We are now 5 months since diagnosis and Sabu is looking well and coping with the daily routine, we are just asking for some help in ensuring we maintain his life and passion for as long as we can.
