Muchapondwa Primary School is located in the rural Bindura District in Zimbabwe, the school has a poor infrastructure due to failure of the community to pay school fees. The community is comprised of aging peasent farmers who have since struggled due to the persistent drought for the past 3 years and escalating unemployment rate in Zimbabwe. Based on that background the school requires investment to uplift the infrastructure and quality of education.
Currently the school has no computers and the education curriculum introduced ICT which is justifiable in line with the modern trend were communication, education and business are online. Our goal to raise 413 USD to start an agricultural project in which the school will plant Ground nuts and the profits made will be used to start the construction of a thirty sitter ICT lab enhancing and empowering these young students in their learning and development.
The funds raised (413) will be a step in the positive direction as the school will now have capital to be self sufficient and only the profit will be used to develop the infrastructure. This will give the students a moral booster and take away low self esteem due to stigmatisation. This small amount will result in students at Muchapondwa Primary having an equal opportunity in life.
