Campaign Story
Monty is a English Springer Spaniel dog 11 months old diagnoised with an inherited lens blurring disease. At the moment he sees only light in one eye and almost nothing in the other. Ever since Monty was with us, we thought he had poor eyesight, but we also attributed that to him being a clumsy puppy. We hoped that his eyesight still had to develop, but we were very sorry and sometimes it was hard and sad to watch him crash into the things in front of him, so we nurtured and cared for him every day.
A few weeks ago we noticed that his eyes were getting more blurred and he became sad and depressed. We visited a vet who made the diagnosis and recommended surgery to implant a lens in both eyes that has a 90% chance of a successful outcome.The surgery will take about 2 hours (1 hour per eye) and the recovery itself between 2 to 8 weeks.
Surgery is very expensive so any support is welcome and will greatly facilitate and it would really mean the world to us and Monty.
Monty is an awesome pup with a ton of love ready to give and we want to give him the life he deserves to live.
