Help Miracle Walk again.
If you don't know the story of miracle, she is just a 3-4 month old puppy who a few days ago got run over by a car, the cars front and back tires went over her head and whole body, she flew in the air and fell lifelessly to the ground. I jumped out of my moving car and stopped traffic to scoop up her body and ran her to the closest vet. She had been dead a few minutes when we entered the vets and the amazing vet did mouth to mouth and CPR and revived her, she was breathing but in a huge state of shock she was unable to move at all.
We paid her vet bill and left her there and told the vet to call us if any change and do whatever she could to save this sweet little girl. Nighttime came and I couldn't rest so I called the vet to check on her and she said she was still alive. I went to sleep as best as I could but kept replaying the tragic incident in my head. The next morning I went to see her and she was lifting her head slightly but her entire body was having these awful spasms and shakes. At this point we didn't know the extent of her injuries.
Today on the third day of her recovery we went to see her and she had more tests where we found out she has severed nerves on her pelvis and nerve damage on her spine. The vet said they should heal with time between 6 weeks to 6 months.
At the moment she needs to have IV and medicine for three more days £18 per day. Then she will need six different oral medications for six weeks which will cost a further £44.
She is currently incontinent so she will require puppy pads and extra towels and blankets so we can wash them on a regular basis.
She also has a diet of liver, chicken and multivitamin drinks from the vet.
She needs to have a parasite tablet in ten days time & flea spray daily (one spray once daily)
She can start rehabilitation in a week's time so we will need to pay for that as well.
We are printing new medical sheets for her to keep track of her meds and toilet needs.
The total cost of her recovery isn't known yet but the first few months will be quite expensive so any help would be massively appreciated.
