Campaign Story
Dear Family, friends, and everyone who has the heart to help us,
My name is Asia Aportadera and I'm reaching out to ask for help for my newborn niece, Artemis Lovette or Mimi as we fondly call her. Mimi is only 2 weeks old and already fighting for her life in the ICU.
Currently the doctors do not know what is going on but they suspect an underlying metabolic abnormality or genetic disease and are running lots of expensive medical tests. She was brought to the hospital after my sister noticed she was dropping weight and not her usual silly self. It turns out, she was fighting septicemia due to a bacterial infection that doctor's think could be meningitis. She has gotten some blood transfusions and was also supposed to undergo a spinal tap but she is still too weak to undergo such a stressful test.
Please help us out as every hour counts. Please help us ease the worries and anxiety of my older sister. We hope you can donate as any amount will surely help us!

Update posted by Asia Maris Aportadera at 11:36 pmHello everyone. I’m so happy to say Mimi is doing so much better, and most of her tests are coming back normal. She’s responding well to her antibiotic treatment, and is off her feeding tube. Our fight isn’t over yet. Mimi needs more specialists to come and check to see. . . . .
