Hi, hope you can spare a moment to help this young man Milton attend college in the US.
Milton has been helping my family with translation tasks for quite awhile now, he is a student now at UEM studying linguistics and translation. I know Milton's family, I know his dad well - he is a taxi driver and they are poor.
I am helping Milton to complete the process to transfer rom UEM to a selective university in the US where his tuition and room and board will be fully covered by financial aid. Milton getting this education will change his life and the lives of his entire family, and he is a very good young man who deserves this chance to be lifted out of poverty forever.
Milton has to pay 15,700 MZN to take the TEFL exam in order to apply to college in the US. I am teaching him the exam for free which will take about 50 hours or so (this is my area of expertise) but the test itself, which he will take in October, costs this amount of money through the British Council. I am sorry that I don't have that kind of money to pay for his exam now, and I am hoping the community will pitch in to help him out. Milton has gotten very good grades at UEM and he has almost two years' worth of courses finished. It's the ideal time to transfer to college in the US now.
Donations of merely 500 - 1000 mzn will get Milton his exam if we all chip in. I have put in the first 500. Alternatively if you are feeling very heroic you could also pay his fee to the British Council directly. Anyone can message me for information. I hope we can pool together and do this for Milton. Thank you!
(the amount needed includes the fees to the funding site and to the bank)
