Help Michelle get her life back (chronic illness)

Hello, my name is Jessica, and my partner needs your help!

She *hates* asking for help, but she's desperate and therefore, friends, family, and I are doing it upon her behalf.

Michelle lost her job in 2020. She was forced to leave a 20+ profession she was extremely passionate about, due to Rheumatoid Arthritis, and Fibromyalgia, the symptoms involved, and side effects of medications. She is a single mother raising two young girls ages 6 and 9.

She cannot afford medical plans, or state assistance, and the service is *extremely* bad in South Africa. She’s not covered by any disability fund.

Here’s a brief description of the hardships she faces every day:

Researchers believe that Fibromyalgia involves an interaction between the nervous system, body chemistry, and muscles that results in an intensification of pain signals. My girlfriend is in extreme pain, almost 24/7.

The primary symptoms of Fibromyalgia include:

• Widespread pain.
• Fatigue
• Cognitive difficulties. A symptom commonly referred to as "Fiibro fog" impairs the ability to focus, pay attention and concentrate on mental tasks.

Fibromyalgia often co-exists with other conditions, such as:

• Irritable bowel syndrome
• Chronic fatigue syndrome
• Migraine and other types of headaches
• Interstitial cystitis or painful bladder syndrome
• Temporomandibular joint disorders
• Anxiety
• Depression

And even more.

The donations made will go to:

WHEELCHAIR - Michelle is having to rely more and more upon a wheelchair, which is falling apart.

MATTRESS - The one she has currently is exacerbating her condition. With a proper mattress, it could relieve some of her pain and insomnia.

MEDICAL BILLS - She hasn’t been able to pay her doctor’s bills for over two years, and therefore is in dept and cannot see any specialist, or private doctor.

MEDICATION - Altogether, the average needed is R4,000 per month
