HELP MICHELLE FIGHT THE BIG C

My name is Michelle Theodisia R. Cipriano, I’m 46 years old and was recently diagnosed with stage IVB ovarian cancer. This news came to a huge shock and heartbreak to me and my family but I’m in high spirits to fight this illness with your help.

It all started when I was continuously feeling piercing pain from my back to my legs since last year. I tried to ignore it because I thought it was just sore muscles from triathlon training. But when the pain started to become unbearable that I couldn’t stand straight nor walk I had my check up and found out that I have a malignant tumor.

The doctors immediately advised me to have an operation. So they removed my ovaries, fallopian tubes and uterus in De Los Santos Medical Center and the abstract showed that I have stage IVB ovarian cancer. Due to unforeseen circumstances we didn’t expect that the hospital bill and professional fees would reach almost P600,000. We have used up all our personal resources, solicited donations from my friends and family and even borrowed money to be able to get discharged from the hospital and transfer to a government run hospital and charity program for further treatment.

My oncologist advised me that I’ll be needing 8 cycles of chemotherapy which costs P58,500 per cycle and my maintenance medicine per week costs around P10,000. I was able to complete the first cycle with the help Philippine Cancer Society but unfortunately they can only sponsor 2 cycles.. The major obstacle I’m faced with now is that I’ve run out of funds to continue with my treatment.

Despite the prevailing circumstances, I remain optimistic, faithful and continue this battle against cancer, so I can live long to sed you grandson grow and continue being the purpose driven person God created me to be.
