Campaign Story
On May 29, 2018, a tragic road accident happened at the San Rafael Bypass Road in Bulacan that suddenly changed the lives of the Mendoza-Ilang-ilang Family. A 10-wheeler truck was illegally parked in a two-way, narrow road with no street lights on at around 3AM of that fateful day, when the L300 van carrying our family crashed to it and was then fatally hit by another vehicle speeding after them.
We lost four of our beloved family members, named Malou (50yo), Kathleen (29yo), Gyver (30yo), and Yesha (2yo) in the accident, while more than 10 including kids are left severely injured and are currently recovering at Galvez Medical Hospital in San Ildefonso, Bulacan. Our family members are residents of Bacoor in Cavite.
We ask your kind heart to help us recover through this tragedy by raising funds for the hospital bills of the survivors, along with funeral expenses of our dearly departed loved ones. The drivers of both the truck and the van do not want to cooperate with our financial settlement conditions, thus would rather face legal actions filed against them. We pray and hope that we find justice soon, and for our family to get through this tough times even stronger in faith.
