I am 23 years old this year, born and raised in Singapore. Currently still living with both my parents (who works every day from day till night to support our family), my sister and my grandma who has a battery in her heart.

The reason for this campaign is because I worry for my future mobility.

2 years ago, I had a bad fall at a waterfall, which caused me to land heavily on my buttocks. I had a bad bruise that lasted a good 3 months but I did not see the doctor, which I regret. I also had minor Scoliosis on the upper half of my spine, which technically have stabilised according to my doctor.

Recently, I sat on the floor for around 3~5 hours, playing card games with my sister and suddenly I had stinging pains from my lower back. The pain is recurring and has not gone away. The doctor I saw said to rest and exercise (I swim once a week) but due to work, I am seated for most of the time and it is not getting any better.

Any time I do anything that moves/require my lower back, it hurts. I feel like I am older than my grandma, who is 70 years old. I can barely stand up from a chair, wear my clothes, not to mention even squatting or touching the ground.

With your donation, I will seek assistance from a local physiotherapy and hopefully take time off work (unpaid) for a month or so to heal my back. I worry that if I do not fix this sooner, I will lose my job or even worse, be stuck to a wheelchair. It's just gradually getting worse. Please help me.
