Hi
I suffered a stroke nearly 3 years ago......this was complicated by Rhumatoid Arthritis which I have had for 20yrs.
I had a hip replacement last year but then the tendons in my knee locked up resulting in me not being able straighten the leg.
So i have just had a major knee operation which is the last step to enable me to finally walk again......provided I can get enough therapy. The hip and knee operations were both done at a government hospital.
Due to the fact that my right arm and hand are still partially paralysed I have to go to a private physiotherapy practice as they have the specialized equipment I need and that the government clinics do not have.
Obviously the physiotherapy is expensive and I need to go at least 3 times a week for about 6 months.
Naturally I also have to cover transport costs etc as well.
Due to the stroke my right hand continuously contracts and spasms.....it is a constant ache and then extremely painful when it spasms.
So although my main aim is to walk again, I am also really hoping go for an operation on my hand.......I will never use the hand again but the operation will release the contractions and make the hand a lot less painful.
So it has been a rough 3 years......
Hence I am here asking for assistance.
If you choose to donate to my campaign then I am extremely grateful......and if you are unable to donate then all I ask is that pass on my story to your friends and family.ha
Thank for your time.
NB: It would be greatly appreciated if you donate through PayPal rather than the card payment option. I need the funds asap for my therapy and it takes over a month to access donations made via the card payment option.

Well things not going well...... Unfortunately looks like this is not going on work and I will probably close this campaign soon. I guess walking again will remain a dream.
