Hi, my name is Danielle Chew. I'm currently 17 and about to finish school, my ambition is to become a secondary school teacher. In 2017 i plan on taking a gap year in which I plan on spending 10-12 weeks volunteering through PlanMyGapYear in a Nepalese monastery teaching children. who are primarily Tibetan refugees looking for a better life, which becoming a monk can often allow. I plan on leaving sometime in May after my 18th birthday.
Not only will this be a great culturally enlightening experience, but it will give me valuable teaching skills and ultimately allow me to learn if i want to continue with my goal to be a teacher.
The program will cost around $1900 not including flights, insurance or a visa, all up I'm looking at around $4000 minimum. I am only looking for support in my endeavours and hope you all will help me in reaching my goals. Every little bit can make a difference. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity and I am so grateful for the support.
