Hi, My name is Emma and I was born with Cerebral Palsy and a rare Neuromuscular Disorder that affects my nerves and muscles. Since birth, I have been in constant pain and doctors have exhausted every resource trying to help me cope with little luck. I am now on a lot of medication but being only 22, I am worried about the effect being on such powerful tablets is having on my body so you can imagine my surprise and utter relief when I found a way to help my pain without the need for pills. When my mum died a year ago at the age of 38 from breast cancer, I decided to get a Rose tattoo as a tribute to her. At the time I had planned to have only that tattoo as they did not have much appeal to me but when the artist started working, it dawned on me that for the first time, there was no pain in my limbs. In fact, I actually forgot to take my usual medication because I wasn't feeling the pain. I was free and in complete bliss for the first time in my whole life. However, much to my dismay as soon as my work was finished, the pain returned full force and with a vengeance. In all my years, that was the only time I had ever had the privilege of feeling no pain but it only lasted one short hour. Now I would do anything to get more done, I have a project planned where I am going to have the roses spread around my body like Ivy, it has never been done before and I know it will be worth it, however it costs £70 an hour to do and will take approximately 35 hours. With my parents dead and no family left to support me, I simply cannot afford it and I am desperate to escape my daily pain for as long as I can manage.  Anyone to help would be thanked in any publicity I receive and would have my eternal gratitude. I know it probably sounds silly to most to raise money for tattooing but it is not the tattoos themselves but the pain free time that they create that I crave. My disabilities will never go away and my pain will only get worse. The tattoos themselves will also increase my self confidence in my body as they will cover the numerous scars I have from all the operations I have underwent to help my condition. There are so many benefits to me, it really means a lot. Any excess money will be donated to my local Craft2Distract class which is run for others like me who are also in pain but benefit from the distraction of crafting. This fundraising will help not only me, but others like me that suffer constant pain every day of their life.  Please help if you can, anything would be appreciated and I would love for you to share this with your friends and family to gather as much support as possible. I will post up pictures of any tattoos I manage to get done as I go along so you can see what we are creating. Thank you for taking the time to read this and I wish you all well. - Emma
