Hi!
This year I want to explore the contact dance improvisation festivals in Europe, and I want to document my experiences so I can share and spread the beautiful message of this dance practice. I will write a blog of my experiences, and I will post a video about every festival I've visited. When I come back from my journey, I want to create a performance and I want to offer workshops in my hometown and Budapest.
With some help, I am looking forward to give a fresh look of the contact improvisation world to people who does not know what it is, and the dancers who are regular practicioners.
My name is Petra, and I live in Hungary, Miskolc, and I work at the Miskolc National Theatre as a director assistant. I also participating in organizing a contact impprovisation festival in Hungary this summer (see more here: www.kontaktland.com). I teach at my hometown and I am a regular visitor to the workshops organized by our contact dance community in Budapest.
Contact dance improvisation had been a love for me since I met it at the age of 14, my dream is to become a performer, a teacher, and I really wish to serve the contact dance community by learning and experiencig more.
Last year I got my diploma at the Dharma Gate Buddhist College. I always wanted to travel but I never had a chance to it.
Here is my traveling plan:
Warshaw, Warshaw flow (Poland)
180 Euro
July 1 - 8
1001, Grenoble (France)
365€
July 9 - 15
July 15 – 30
I woud rest at home.
Göttingen, Contact Meets Contemporary (Germany)
350 Euro
july 30 – august 5
Freiburg, Freiburg Festival (Germany)
380 Euro
August 9 – 15
As you can see, I need 1275 € to cover the festival entry fees. I am asking for 1500 € to ensure a little backup, and to be able to buy some important equipment.
I will record and write everything with my iPad Pro and iPhone.
I will cover my own travel expenses.
