Help Me To Transition to Las Vegas

I really need help with my transition into Las Vegas. I moved to New Mexico from California with my family with the hopes of lucrative new job working out, but everything kept falling through. I worked a high paying job, but people that worked against me ensured that I could not secure a place to rent. I ended up staying in a hotel and it kept draining me monetarily until I had to resign. The situation was really bad. I worked with the County anwas danger of being homeless and I needed to leave from the situation unless I would be stuck in an area with barely any help. I then decided to move out to Las Vegas, NV because of the opportunity and potential place to stay (not gambling) and I recieved work with no problem. Then my job tells me that I dont start until later in the month ( late November).Because of my work history (Veteran and Prior Law Enforcement) I am not getting quick employment and I am slipping through the cracks on all levels of assistance. My family has turned their back and since bills have piled I am a few days from being in the street. I really need assistance through this period, so I can bounce back and keep moving forward. It feels like this hurdle is the only one I need to jump through in order to succeed and it gets tougher each day. I love the city here and I love its people and I have an opportunity to potentially do great things here.
