Hello Everyone.

My name is Matteo Ricci, usually called Teo. I'm from Indonesia and I'm 22. I am a full-time worker in IT Support at my city. Since I was in junior school, I really like snow, mountains, animals, and nature in general and cold climate countries, like in the Europe and Canada.

In my family, the main source of income is my mom. My father was a church activist and my mom is working at a palm company. I have one sister and I already help my mom to support her education, and in next year my sister will go to college and I really don't want to burden my parents. So I decided to somehow study and work abroad with my own money because I know that my parents don't have that much money.

I am always searching for opportunities for a scholarship to get there but it never works for me, because somehow I cant get the recommendation letter. I work at a full day job and I go to college at night time for about two years, then I dropped out because of lack funds. After that, I'm starting a part-time job at night to earn extra money. I almost gave up my dream of going abroad and study there. I always tried to save my money, but what I earn here is basically nothing in there.

I work as an IT Support at a small company with a monthly wage of Rp. 2.100.000 or around $150 USD per month. After my full-time, I tried to earn some extra money by repairing people's computers or installing hardware and software or anything related. In a month I can earn about $190. I can save up to $30 per month, it is about $360 a year; but its really not enough to get me for study abroad. I did some research it cost around $35.000 USD to study in Australia. I need to save almost 100 years for me to be able to study in Australia. Until I find out that some country has a free education for abroad students.

Norway... When I found about Norway, I just fell in love with the country. Its culture, its nature, its policy, and many other things. So I decided to make my way there. To follow my dream and study further. I wanted to study at Nord University majoring in Games and Entertainment Technology. I always like indie games and I want to make my own games. I already have some concept of what I'm going to make in the future. I am planning to make a game to raise awareness of global warming and animal extinction.

So I did some research about what I need in order to get me into Norway. From before the arrival and after I arrived at the destination.

As it is listed above, it cost about $ 7.000 USD. From Flight Ticket, Visa, to Living cost for 3 months. I also need some money to get me through for some months until I can get a job and support my self there. I have some saving from my almost a full-day job but it just enough for taking IELTS Test and for my transport from my city Pontianak to Jakarta (I think it will cost $400-600). I also need to deposit visa bank statement, my uncle wants to support me for that, but not the living cost and the ticket. If someone in Norway wants to be my visa sponsor it will be better and i really appreciate that.

For the optional part, if I have additional funds i will buy a new laptop and a bag to help me study. I already have a laptop; it is quite old but it is a working laptop. It will be better if I study with a newer one since Games Development usually needs a quite powerful computer. I also need a couple of winter clothing since Indonesia is a tropical warm country. That is why I need to prepare some warm clothes, but if the donation is not enough then I will bring from what I have.

If you happen to have unused winter clothing for me or a secondhand laptop that you want to throw away, maybe you can donate to me. Any help for me before and after the arrival is always welcome. If you have a vacancy job in Norway (I already have 6 years of working experience) or can provide me a housing I will be very grateful. I can help to clean the house, babysitting, gardening, or anything. If you can provide me more information about the trip, or the university or anything related please can email me.

As my gratitude, if you happen to be needed for a freelance designer for a web banner, a brochure, or a poster, anything related I will try to help. I will also try to make a custom MINIMALIST wallpaper when you donate me, with your name on it. I am not a pro, but I try to do my best.

At last... Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your time reading this. I really hope that I can make my dream comes true and study further. I’m planning to started study on Autumn 2019, the deadline for admission is around at the end of the 2018. I already started to learn Norsk online. If for some reasons I can't study at Nord University or in Norway, then I will try another country that provides free education. But if I was fated to stay here in Indonesia because of something that out of control, then I will donate all of the donations to child’s education so they can have a better education.

PS : I will always make an update about all the expense and income in cash statement to keep the money as transparent as possible and I will upload it to my personal blog. The link will be updated soon.

“And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work” - 2 Corinthians 9:8
