Hi, I guess many of you have heard about Chinese New Year(Spring Festival). It's the most important moment in a year for every Chinese all over the world - during Spring Festival, the whole family would try their best to get together for family reunion. A bit like Christmas but people see it more important than western would do as 'reunion' has always been playing the main part of traditional Chinese culture.I am a Chinese student living in England and I am currently taking my gap year this year. As Spring Festival is not a British festival, we won't have any holiday during that time. Hence, next year(Feb 2015) might be my only time to go back to China and celebrate Spring Festival with my big family, as I won't have any holiday once I entered uni and at the same time, my grandma is getting older and older. She is always looking forward to a family reunion since I moved to England.I am trying to feed myself rather than relying on my parents. However, the money I earned is just enough to cover my daily cost and expenses for my uni next year. So I really need your help to make my wish come true - I could not afford to lose this opportunity of gathering with my family for Spring Festival. I would really appreciate it if you could donate some money to fund my ticket and other expenses of going back to China for such an important moment. The attached PSA is a collection of real stories about family reunion for Spring festival. You might not be able to understand what they are saying but I'm pretty sure you get the idea of how desperate they are of going back home for the Festival.
