HELP ME TO REACH MY DREAM

Hello my name is Eylül and I am from Turkey. I am 23 years old. I am interested with contemporary dance and I have been studying dance for 3 years. I want to study dance as a bachelor degree. I applied to universities at Canada and USA and I got accepted by University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign BFA Dance program; but I need financial support for it. I am planning to work at any kind of job when I'll be there but now tutitions and fees are really expensive for me.

My university life has shown me how strong I can be. In most of my life there were times when I was interested in dancing; but I never thought of it as a profession. Therefore, I am studying urban and regional planning at Istanbul Technical University, which is one of Turkey's best universities. I have a personality that is bored very quickly from everything, but I never give up fighting. I realized that when I close my eyes, I always dream myself as a dancer.. Sometimes on the stage and sometimes loosing myself dancing at studio. On that moment, I understand that dance is the only thing i never get tired of and I love to do. Maybe I always knew this, but I could never face it because of the fear of “being late” inside of me. I will fight for the only dream I have ever had.

It is very difficult to describe how I feel when I watch a musical, dance performance or any thing that is dancing in it, or while I am dreaming myself as a dancer who is working 24/7. Dance is not just about movements, it has also the philosophy, emotions that I have in it. If I catch this opportunity, I will dedicate myself.

I know I'll do anything to make this dream come true. I hope you can help me. One day, maybe you can find a chance to watch me as a dancer thanks to you.
