Campaign Story
Hello. Friends,
My Name is Peter Mwangi from Kenya. I have been a volunteer for charity work since 2015 with saidia community organization a Community Based Organization (CBO). I give mentor-ship to different orphanage, I have been able to interact with many children and youths. To my realization is most of the children are gifted with different gifts and there is no one to motivate and empower them. At their age they have to discover and develop their talents. Also they need a platform that will inspire and instills confidence to face life. The best gift you can give is to equip them with confidence and tools for self-expression that includes content in languages. A combination of performing art activities is provided to do magic in this area all over the world.
Many African countries have not yet embraced performing arts and sports as part of the education systems and well as an opportunity for career growth, something that if well implemented would solve a big problem in youth unemployment in Africa. Not forgetting the fact that the activities create a foundation to Foster creativity and imagination, both of which are element of innovation. My special attention goes to vulnerable groups such as orphans, children living with disability, the poor and marginalized communities.
I am ready to work with the parents, guardian, teachers and the community. To ensure that children and youths grow up in an environment that encounter growth of their talents.
We target a number of 1000 children and youths within an age group of 5 to 18 years.
Since most of our target are less privilege, I am appealing to the well wishers to assist me raise US$50000 that will be used in purchasing and establishing a talent training center.
Some of the instruments we aim to buy are; set musical instruments, have our own music recording studio for those who are talented in music, sporting gears for footballers.
Other activities that we will also include are; drama, dance and art.
