Help me to open my own travel company

Sawadee krap, that means hello or good day in Thai. First of all I would like to say thank you, that you have a closer look to my wish. Have you ever visited Thailand? If not, it could be your choice to visit all the secret places in Thailand which I know if it is possible for me to set my own travel company up. Maybe you can help me, that my dream becomes true?

Some words about me. I was born in the eighties in a small fishing Village in Nakhon Sri Thammarat, a province in the south of Thailand. My father was a hard working fisherman and my mother took care for us three children. I was 13 years old, when I recognize, that I could work there only as a fisherman and it’s heavy to make a life from that. So I leave my home town and moved alone to other provinces and to Bangkok, Samui and Phuket. The time was a little bit hard for me because I could not speak English.

But my biggest wish was to speak with tourists. I want to know what they do, why they came here, what they love here and what I can do to make them feel comfortable. I bought a small dictionary and with every tourist I learned some more English words. Now after all the years I want to share my experience and my knowledge about Thailand and the beautiful places with tourists.

Maybe you think now, why did he not work for a tour company or try to get a credit from a bank. Unfortunately the most tour companies hire only people which have a bachelor degree – and I have no degree. And a credit is only possible to get, if you have a work contract – but it is not common in Thailand to make work contracts – only if you work in an office – so no work contract - no credit.

That was the point where I think, ok, I try that by myself. After that, I started to check out what I need. Many, many papers and permits and more permits and an insurance and I start calculating and thought, I never get that money together, only 200,000 THB (5,586 USD) for an security deposit which have to stay in a bank and all the bills for set up the company.

After I finished my calculation I ended up with 8,500 USD which includes making a website and some flyers for the start. How should I safe so many money and then I remember this website and I thought, I try it here.

What I want to do is, to offer travel choices in my country. From climbing in the north, river cruising on Chao Phraya River, trips to the River Kwai bridge, Yoga and Wellness Tours, Island hopping, Diving tours and, and, and.

There are so many things to see and to do if somebody like to help me. Until I got the money together I will start to create tours and make contacts with people, win companies, so that I can start right away.
