Help Me To Help Others! – My Trip To Help The Under Privileged Children In Tanzania

Hello family and friends!

On March 17th my school friends and I will be travelling to Tanzania to join the Tanzania Seeway Expedition. This opportunity is a life changing experience and a chance to make a lasting impact on the local communities and villages around Maji ya Chai, in the Arusha region of Tanzania.

For the eight days we will spend in Tanzania, we will travel around the Arusha region, participating in a highly rewarding program of community service and learning about sustainable development. As part of the project, we have been asked by local and Ministry of Education officials to increase classroom capacity as much as possible, as the school is very overcrowded. During the 2018-2019 season, we will build 5 classrooms on the southern side of the school and a teacher’s toilet block. This will reduce the pressure on the current classrooms considerably and will provide a better learning environment for students.
